Visual Storytelling & Narrative Workshop - 28th October 2026

A four-week online workshop exploring how photographers can create stronger, more emotionally engaging visual narratives through sequencing, editing and storytelling.

Many photographers produce compelling individual images but struggle to shape them into coherent stories with depth, rhythm and meaning. This workshop is designed to help participants better understand how narrative works within photography and how images can be used to create atmosphere, tension and emotional connection.

Through live online group sessions, critique and discussion, participants will examine image selection, sequencing, pacing and narrative structure, while developing a stronger understanding of how meaning is created between photographs. Alongside the group sessions, participants will also receive two individual one-to-one mentoring sessions focused on their own work, ideas and creative development.

Photobook Development Workshop - 13th January 2027

A six-week online workshop designed to help photographers shape, edit and develop their work into a coherent and meaningful photobook.

The photobook has become one of the most important forms of expression within contemporary documentary and artistic photography. More than simply a collection of images, a photobook allows photographers to create narrative, atmosphere and emotional depth through sequencing, structure and design.

This workshop is intended for photographers interested in exploring the photobook as a creative and narrative form. Whether participants are developing an existing project or beginning to think about how their work might function within a book format, the workshop provides a supportive environment for experimentation, discussion and critical feedback.

Through live online group sessions, critique and practical guidance, participants will explore editing, sequencing and visual flow, while developing a stronger understanding of how images communicate across pages and spreads. The workshop will also explore topics such as pacing, text and captions, dummy books, layout and self-publishing.

Suitable for documentary photographers, visual storytellers, artists and creatives developing long-form projects, the workshop is designed to encourage thoughtful, engaging and visually coherent photobook development within a focused and collaborative small-group environment.

Workshop Includes

  • 6-week online programme
  • Weekly live Zoom sessions
